Do you want to become a transformative force in Intel TD's Yield Data Engineering and Automation team? Our group's primary focus is to handle both development and operations for data systems and analysis tools for the entire set of TD Yield Analysis groups. This role will involve fast-paced, cross-functional collaborations both within and external to the yield organization. If you are up for the challenge, we are looking for creative and critical thinkers to build the foundational infrastructure for yield data analysis at Intel.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to::
- Understand the requirements of data analysis, tools, and problem-solving strategies used by yield engineers and convert them into usable and resilient systems.

- Develop expertise in various data domains that are available for yield analysis and formulate strategies to interconnect these domains for rapid yield analysis.
- Design, maintain, and improve various data systems that are used by yield analysis engineers.
- Conceptualize and implement new ways to transform data into insights.
- Create proof of concept software and work with internal and external software development teams to deploy production level solutions for end users.
- Develop and maintain custom derived data sets (via Python, etc.)
- Streamline the new product configuration process and ensure committed timelines are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD degree in an Engineering and/or Science discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in data intensive role within semiconductor-related field
- 2+ years of experience in:

  • Systems engineering
  • Data structures and transformations from small to large scale data sets/pipelines
  • Relational database design and SQL
  • Very high programming skills in Python
  • Working knowledge of data modeling/ML techniques and libraries
  • General statistical software applications (JMP, R, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ plus years of experience in:

  • Vendor specific database technology (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Familiarity with distributed data systems (e.g. HBase, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Object-oriented programming (C#)
  • Developing and debugging software applications
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn.
  • Problem-solving, analytic, and debugging skills.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
