Transistor RnD Engineer
The Transistor Reliability Research and Development (RnD) Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
The candidate will help to develop leading-edge logic process technologies that will be used in future CPU and SOC products by ensuring the front end of line and transistors meet reliability requirements.
Depending on candidate background, the job role may include researching transistor reliability device physics, developing physics-based and empirical compact models that quantify transistor reliability, and/or developing new process technologies from research through certification.
Additionally, the job role may involve partnering with process development teams to define new transistor architectures, materials, and process flows.
Developing and conducting electrical tests to quantify transistor reliability behavior and identify new failure modes that may be present in emerging technologies.
Developing new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential reliability problems with new products manufacturing processes and transistor architecture.
Formulating risk assessments and making quality and reliability predictions based on data collected using statistical principles and design of experiments fundamentals.
Advising design engineering on selection application and test of electronic components and systems.
Recommending design test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field of study with 5+ years of transistor reliability experience.
Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field of study with 2+ years of transistor reliability experience.
Developing device physics models through TCAD compact modeling or first principles physics.
Semiconductor device fabrication integration and characterization.
Electrical test of semiconductor devices including experience with various types of measurement equipment B1500 or similar SPA oscilloscopes function generators High-frequency test experience.
Reliability failure statistics physics or failure mechanisms.
Programming with scripting language (JSL PERL Python SQL TCL VBScript).
