We are looking for more great software engineer leaders who can help us push computing capabilities even further. You will be working in a dynamic team that develops and applies software tools scripts and physical models to guide the development of Intel transistors and the process technologies which make them.

As a Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD) Software Research Engineer/Scientist you will be:

  • Creating software simulation flows, developing physical models, and analyzing the fundamental device and process issues encountered in cutting-edge technology development.

  • Leading teams of colleagues to influence how we build software capabilities, calibrate models and process flows, perform design-technology co-optimization (DTCO), and invent novel devices and innovative processes.

  • Collaborating directly with the experimental teams working in process integration, device research, and advanced design to define experiments and present recommendations that achieve the scaling path for the logic, memory, and analog devices in advanced-node, industry-leading products.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
  • +5 years of thesis + research experience in semiconductor device physics and modeling with expertise in particular areas of interest including quantum transport, device transport, novel transistor architectures, and process flow physics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Publications that demonstrate expertise in such areas as quantum charge transport, analog, and mixed-signal (AMS) devices, or process flow physics.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or equivalent.

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
