This position is for a Systems Engineer within SATG's System Software Engineering Group (SSE). The System Software Engineering (SSE) organization is responsible for enabling the Intel roadmap across operating systems and virtualization (Linux, Windows, Chrome OS, Android), cloud native infrastructure, runtimes, and the web platform. SSE ensures Intel builds software-first hardware platforms as well as driving adoption of Intel optimized system software in the ecosystem - with customers, OSVs (Operating System Vendors), CSPs (Cloud Service Providers). Billions of lines of code and all major enterprise and operating system software stacks are optimized for Intel architecture through SSE's many co-engineering engagements with ecosystem partners.
We are looking for an experienced systems engineer to lead our U.S. based engineering support organization. Lead engineering support for overcoming technical issues with Intel PPHW platforms, knowledge to support both Windows and Linux. Point of escalation for all SSE lab technicians. Create/modify/link Intel PPHW platform BKCs that SSE engineering support and engineering teams will leverage for quick access to necessary information. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur and develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. Drive day to day business needs by managing processes and/or workflow, collaborate with SDP Cloud Engineering support.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
� Bachelors with 3+ years of relevant experience related to Intel Pre-Production Hardware enabling or lab management in a high-tech environment.
�Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to create and drive strategies, work independently, simultaneously manage diverse and extensive assignments while remaining organized and productive in a highly interrupt driven environment
�Pro-active, process-oriented, and conscientious with ability to communicate with and influence technical teams to achieve objectives.
�Work in fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. Multi-tasking skills are essential.
� Flexible in managing group tasks as different types of tasks will need priority attention on a given day.
� Enterprise and Client Intel PPHW experience with ability to create/modify technical documents
