Intel’s Sales, Marketing and Communications Group (SMG) is looking for candidates to join our organization for a Summer 2023 internship. SMG is collectively responsible for driving the accelerated adoption of Intel technology. Interns will get the opportunity to learn technical sales concepts and how to apply technical knowledge within the Sales & Marketing discipline.  With the manager and/or mentor guidance, you will have the ability to work on various technical projects that are related to software and cloud services sales.  Our team is comprised of a talented and diverse group of technical sales leaders and you will be exposed to different aspects of selling and solving different types of customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across various Intel groups to create compelling technical solutions and support the technical team.  This internship opportunity is for those who are interested in a technical sales career path. SMG offers all interns opportunities to network and engage with our broader teams to explore all facets of SMG and Intel. The Cloud Technology Intern scope could include but is not limited to:

  • Developing new solutions and updating existing solutions using Intel products and technologies - to be consumed by our partners and customers
  • Conducting feasibility analysis by analyzing customer requirements
  • Opportunity to pursue and complete cloud certification(s) during the internship

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • A passion for technology, cloud services, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that will require exceptional multi-tasking skills.

SMG works across business units to amplify the customer voice and deliver solutions that accelerate their business. We work across numerous industries, including retail, enterprise and government, cloud services and healthcare as examples. The operations team focuses on forecasting, driving alignment with factory production and delivering efficiency tools and our marketing capability drives demand and localized marketing in locations around the globe. Our sales force navigates a complex partner and customer ecosystem while shaping product roadmaps, driving value for our customers, and collaborating to harness emerging technology trends to deliver comprehensive solutions.


Qualifications

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.  Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ related  job experience.  This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a Bachelor’s degree and less than three years’ experience.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

  • Graduation Date December 2023 or later

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understand the basics of Cloud service provider's technologies and offerings; bonus if you possess industry certifications on one of the following: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent.

  • Understand the basics of Cloud software solution stacks including compute, orchestration, infrastructure management, as well as storage and networking solutions, this is in bare metal and containerized solutions.

  • Understand or have experience with DevOps environment in the Cloud.

  • Exhibit a foundational understanding in Linux, open source software, software development (git) and running performance tests, basic scripting for automation.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
