About the group:
In Datacenter Processor Architecture (DPA) group, we are responsible for architectural performance modeling, studies, and analysis of server CPU technologies. We develop and use simulators, models, and other tools to answer architectural and micro-architectural questions for new server CPUs.
As the Silicon Architecture Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Determines, specifies, and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and structures and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly.
Designs framework for functions.
Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses.
Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families.
Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
This position is hybrid in either Hillsboro, OR or Santa Clara, CA during the 20-week returnship program.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Candidates must have taken a career break for 2 or more years.
MS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or similar major.
Software engineering skills (C++, Python, Linux),
Academic or practical computer architecture experience
Performance analysis skills
