Job Description
As a Senior Principal Engineer for Intel, candidate will set the technical direction of a custom Linux distribution. Candidate will lead the system software development team and make architectural decisions regarding software structure, interfaces, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and/or validation direction. Candidate will perform and lead pathfinding activities and surveys for future technologies. Position requires strong technical and strategic leadership with demonstrable product-to-market delivery.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 15+ years of relevant work experience -OR- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of relevant work experience. 10+ years software architecture and engineering skills, with emphasis on Operating Systems and/or datacenter distributions. 10+ years designing and testing software and software systems, including Linux and assembly-level programming. 10+ years Datacenter platform software engineering This position is not open to an intel immigration sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ year history of leading engineering teams to success, particularly in the OS or Linux distribution domain. 5+ year history with Clear Linux or similar distribution engineering and architecture.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
