This position is in the Quality and Reliability organization working in one of the most advanced semiconductor technologies in the world. You will be designing, executing, and analyzing experiments necessary to understand the reliability of transistors, integrated circuits and the most current microprocessors. You will develop new techniques to characterize the reliability of the latest and greatest products.

What we do:

What you will be considered for:

  • CQN Quality and Reliability R&D engineers are responsible for leading scientific research enabling the characterization of innovative devices. From transistors to functional circuits to complete microprocessors, the Q&R engineer does assessments on Silicon-to-Simulation health, readiness for High Volume Manufacturing and validation of new product features. You will also use Statistics, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from Electrical-test, yield, fab data and functional tests. Develop scripts, algorithms, and applications to translate experimental data into intelligence to define future development direction.


This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or a STEM related field.
  • Documented experience doing advanced research though peer-reviewed publications.
  • 1+ years of experience in  C/C++ or python demonstrated in projects or coursework.

Preferred qualification:

  • Some understanding of computer architecture or (VHDL) Verilog Hardware Description Language is a plus.
  • Background in semiconductor physics, photonics and infrared lasers is desirable.
