Intel's Technology Development (TD) Yield, 'Metrology Systems Team' is seeking a software applications development engineer to create full-stack software solutions. You will be designing and delivering applications for a variety of internal customers including lab operations teams, defect analysis engineers, factory automation engineers, and process integration engineers across multiple global manufacturing sites.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing customer requirements to assess key problems driving application and/or systems design to meet requirements

  • Teamwork with a group of highly motivated developers

  • Basic project management (covering software lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and support) and independently managing work assignments

  • Maintaining clear communications with customers and stakeholders while driving deliverables towards commits

  • Creating robust, reliable, and high-performance applications that satisfy all forecast needs

  • Creating and running automated test suites to prove functionality, reliability, and performance of applications being developed

  • Providing expert level support to customers on use of domain applications

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum requirements listed below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a additional factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required in an engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related science field AND 5+ years of experience in web development

  • Master's degree with 2+ years' experience in web development

Demonstrated track record delivering dynamic web applications using skills and tools such as:

  • Model View Controller (MVC) software design patterns

  • Javascript and C#

  • ASP.net

  • 6+ months experience delivering applications that meet web security and accessibility standards

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience on:

  • A DevOps team delivering applications for a live operations environment (especially in manufacturing, yield, or defect/failure analysis)

  • Knowledge of software-testing life cycle and automated testing tools

  • Database fundamentals and experience with data querying or modeling with SQL

  • Troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis

  • Analytical tools using data visualization and charting.

Dynamic web applications skills and 6+ months of experience on:

  • Typescript, Blazor, Dynamic HTML

  • Angular/React/Vue or similar front-end framework

  • Client/server dataflow using AJAX/SignalR or a similar asynchronous framework

  • OpenSeaDragon

  • Hot Towel SPA

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
