Job Description

Intel's Advanced Design (AD) team resides within the Design Enablement (DE) organization which works in close collaboration with our partners in process technology, IP, and products spanning client, server and networking products. The primary focus of AD is to guide process technology definition, and design prototypes in Intel's latest process technology, including support for Intel's internal and external design customers.

As a Product Development and Test Engineer within AD your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not always be limited to, utilizing the following skills:

1) Test physical layer (PHY) circuits covering wireline standards in serial, memory, die-to-die, and legacy high-voltage I/O's on Intel's first technology test chips.

2) Capture measurement results to guide the next generation of process technology based on requirements for critical wireline interfaces.

3) Work closely with process and product/IP design engineers to use test results to accelerate process technology and product development.


Experience in each of the areas listed below is required to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are not and are just considered a plus in your overall application.

Minimum qualifications:
MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant field with 2+ years of professional/industry experience in the following areas:

  • Electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERT, pattern generators.
  • Wireline high-speed I/O testing
  • Design Debug
  • Design for Test (DFT)
  • Matlab, Python, or equivalent

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
