What will you do?

Intel Israel CPU CAD team is seeking a senior, experienced Power expert, to drive Methodological breakthroughs in CAD that will enable a step function in CPU Power Efficiency, spanning from Architecture, through RTL, Backend Design, and all the way to post Silicon validation and correlation. This role has the potential to impact Power efficiency on all Intel Mobile, Client and Server products. Our tools and methods are used internally by Intel CPU electrical engineers to estimate and reduce power consumption, improving power-performance, battery-life, form-factor and other key differentiating design vectors. A diverse interest, skillsets and experience in VLSI Design, Electrical and CAD Software engineering, Emulation, AI/ML and Architectural, Logical and Spice Simulations would be an advantage. The position would entail taking methodological lead of the Power Estimation and Reduction domains, collaborating with Power Execution teams across Intel, and driving novel solutions built upon either in-house or vendor CAD, towards maximizing design Power Efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Experience leading Power Estimation and Reduction activities for VLSI products.

  • Knowledge of the VLSI design process from Architecture to Silicon.

  • Experience in EE CAD tools.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with peers in multiple organizations.

  • Out of the box thinking and motivation to drive change.

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Advantages:

  • Experience with Architectural, Logical and Spice level Simulations.

  • Experience with AI/ML.

  • Experience with pre/post-Silicon correlation.

  • Experience leading design and development of substantial SW products.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
