Validation Tools Hardware Engineer
Collaborate with team and cross-divisional stakeholders to design, build, and validate hardware tools that customers will use to do validation testing on their Intel-based designs.
You will be responsible for solidifying project requirements with stakeholders, and working with both internal and external engineering resources to deliver new HW designs to our Production team according to schedule.
The job involves frequently working with customers to help troubleshoot issues encountered while using our tools.
Many of our hardware tools require firmware and software, so familiarity with programming is a plus.
You will have access to a very nice lab environment, and as such experience with lab equipment is desired.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Minimum of 3 years of experience doing analog and digital circuit development.
Proficient in schematic development.
Experience doing circuit simulation (Spice, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, similar).
Proficiency in debugging circuit designs to the component level, using general lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, bench power supplies, and function generators.
Demonstrated willingness to find root cause of problems in circuit designs.
Solid understanding of common circuit components.
Experience with PCB layout.
Experience with FPGA development (Verilog).
Experience in Software Development (C# and Python).
Experience developing with I2C, SPI, or other SDIO interfaces.
Experience with signal conditioning.
Experience with embedded designs.
