In this position, the Information Security Engineer/Analyst will learn the Cyber Vulnerability and Endpoint Security Management processes, leveraging key industry tools to help manage compliance and keep Intel systems secure. You will be a member of a highly collaborative Agile DevOps delivery team of information security professionals that are responsible for providing best-in-class security capabilities that keep Intel secure and deliver business value to our stakeholders. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with other engineers, software developers, system engineers, security analysts, and other information security personnel in support of key projects and initiatives.
  • Develop expertise in Cyber Vulnerability, Remediation & Compliance processes by working extensively with team members, partners, and business customers.
  • Grow and apply your knowledge of Intel's Information Security policies, standards and procedures to manage Intel’s information security risk posture. 
  • Responsible for configuration, management, and operational support of core information security platforms (e.g. Tenable, BigFix, Splunk, Asset Data Mart, Armis).
  • Provide endpoint patching support to maintain security compliance and performance, including patching and upgrades to production environments.
  • Learn and apply information security models and concepts (vulnerability management, risk mitigation, endpoint management, etc.)
  • Assist with identification, design, documentation, and implementation of internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, elimination of technical debt.
  • Develop simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, Information Systems or any other science/engineering related field

Minimum 6 months of experience in the following:

  • Supporting Information Technology/Security Operations and Service Delivery
  • Applying Software Development Life Cycle, Agile DevOps, SAFe model

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months of experience in:

  • Cloud computing and cloud security components and industry standard information and security frameworks standards such as ISO 27001 or NIST CSF. 
  • Various Information security functions; vulnerability management, security threat intelligence, Red Team tactics/techniques, governance, security offense/defense applications/tools, risk management. 
  • TCP/IP protocols as it relates to network security.  
  • Developing scripting and automation solutions to support system configuration, performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Programming with at least one of the following scripting/development languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Splunk, Node.js).
  • Windows and Linux administration (i.e., installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).
  • Various server/system architectures, operating systems, system patching, system and security configuration, auditing, and automation.
  • Compliance reporting capabilities and how to utilize existing data repositories and reporting applications to manage compliance.
  • Emerging threats, vulnerabilities, exploits and mitigation strategies. 
  • Information security certifications through industry recognized organizations such as: SANS, ISACA, ISC2 (e.g. Security+, Associate of (ISC)2, MCSE, AWS, CCNA, ITIL).

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
