The position is associated with the sale of the NAND business to SK Hynix aligning to Phase 2 of the transaction. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel developing NAND technology and components. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025 at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to Solidigm, a stand-alone US subsidiary of SK Hynix headquartered in San Jose, California with offices world-wide. Solidigm is a leading global supplier of NAND flash memory solutions, led by Robert (Rob) B. As a software engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the Solid State Drive (SSD) business at SK hynix. This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK hynix.

A software development engineer plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud based or internet related tools. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Develops software as the primary job function.

  • Full-stack development, deployment, and testing in at least one modern web platform.

  • Designs, develops, debugs and tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web, etc.

  • Troubleshoot issues throughout the design process as well as during and after implementation.

  • Participation in developing additional features for released web-based tools based on existing roadmaps and timelines.

  • Object-oriented programming concepts.


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least one of the following educational and experience requirement.

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree with 3 + Months of experience in computer science OR Computer Engineering

  • Master's degree in Computer Science OR Computer Engineering 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 + months of experience in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Experience with software development in one or more of these technologies: Python, SQL, JavaScript/Typescript, C#, Angular, React, HTML/CSS, Git, Agile, Windows/Linux, MongoDB, data structures.

  • Experience with the latest development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and test-driven development.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
