Job DescriptionArchitect the debug capability and infrastructure for future FPGA projects. Work closely with design, test and post silicon validation teams to define debug requirements and strategies. Determines, specifies and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and structures and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly. Designs framework for particular functions. Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. This is global DFD lead role in which individual will be the goto person for PSG WW DFD strategies for current and future programs. Role also includes working with Debug platform architect to come up with HAS/MAS for DFD and also do the design development. Train and mentor junior engineers and the team for upskilling in the area of DFD. Play vital role in post-silicon debugs with validation team and lead the overall DFD execution throughout silicon lifecycle from Arch to implementation to pre-sil val to timing closure to Tape-out and post-sil debug support.QualificationsBSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 13 years experience in debug architecture/design/validation.Inside this Business GroupThe Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) was formed from the acquisition of Altera.
