Job Description
The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is now Altera, an Intel Company. Altera prioritizes customers with end-to-end FPGAs, accessible AI, software, and supply resilience.In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Specifically, you will be part of Altera Programmable Software and Solutions (PSaS) DevOps Team (also known as SPES).

Software development leads are technical leaders primarliy focusing on the technical aspects of software development, often with hands-on coding and debugging involvement. They guide the team on technology matters, including code reviews and design. Their primary objective is to ensure the successful delivery of a software product that meets the specified acceptance criteria.
This is an essential role because the team is planning a convergence of existing monolithic web and analytics applications under a single unified UX (user-experience) framework and a major architecture overhaul into microservices based (MACH) architecture.
The lead expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, and other team members to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient software solutions. Again, these are individuals aspiring to grow as software architects within the next 3-5 years.
Qualifications
� Bachelor's/Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field� At least 7-8+ years of experience building large scale software applications, and driving architecture convergence
� Solid knowledge and experience in SQL including but not limited to SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra
� Experience with API design, including RESTful APIs
� Programming proficiency in languages such as .Net/C#, Java, Python, NodeJS, and Go
� Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker is essential
� Good knowledge of orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
� Understanding of microservices patterns and principles. This includes concepts like service discovery, circuit breaker, API gateway, and decentralized data management.
� Strong test-driven-development (TDD) background
In addition to these skills, one or more of the following skills will be an added advantage
� Experience in contributing to changes in said CI pipelines
� Proven practical experience in developing Git based CI/CD solutions
� GitHub experience: Expert using GitHub's management tools to organize and share code repositories created with Git
� Full-Stack exposure - having exposure to every aspect of an enterprise cloud solution (knowing the boundaries between things, and generally having instinct on where a particular solution should be in the system stack)
� Cloud application developer traits such as building and publishing containers, deploying containers to kubernetes, uServices architectures
� Can demonstrate experience playing a broader role encompassing project management, communication, mentoring, problem-solving, and technical understanding.
