Platform Support Technician
The technician is responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. This is a fast-paced ambiguous environment, requiring a combination of hardware, software and networking skills with a diligent focus on customer orientation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Independently owns larger, more complex tasks and drives to resolution.
Knows when to escalate and ask for help.
Recognizes problem areas and creates solution proposals.
Willing to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
High sense of customer orientation.
Have commitment and great working outlook.
Be willing to communicate status clearly with solid communication skills.
Independently finds content experts and seeks training to overcome obstacles.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of experience - OR - AA/AS with 2+ years of experience - OR - a Bachelor's Degree with 1+ year of experience in:
Experience building up and maintaining servers and/or client systems
Set up and configuration of Data Center Infrastructure
Independently debugs cards, boards, systems
Configuring BIOS, BMC, Upgrading Firmware, Driver Installs
Experience in removing/installing /troubleshooting server baseboards, CPU's, DIMM's, and storage devices.
Shipping / receiving logistics.
Experience creating/modifying training and processes documentation and execution plans for these and other tasks.
Willing to lift 50 lbs. independently.
