Job Description

IT's External Cloud Hosting group is responsible for providing a conduit for Intel's BUs to engage with various cloud service providers, allowing for application hosting and various other needs to be fulfilled off-prem, as well tracking that external footprint through custom tooling, working with infosec to ensure compliance to minimum security specifications and responding to a variety of larger corporate needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and support of software applications used by customers and staff for management of select infrastructure services.

  • Development may span the full application stack, using modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices.

  • Collaboration with peers, partner teams and external vendors will be required, along with use of standard tools for common tasks like IM, email and work tracking.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.Minimum Qualifications:- Pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Management/Systems, Mathematics, or related field.- Advanced English level. (B2, C1, C2)- Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.- At least 6 months of experience with:

  • JavaScript Skills

  • Database querying and management (PostgreSQL preferred)

  • Rest API creation and consumption

  • Proficiency with Linux Virtual Machines for development use

Preferred Skills:- React.js (hooks, states, component reutilization, props)- Sails.js (preferred) or other backend web application framework like Express- Secrets management for protecting sensitive application data- Public Cloud Experience- Docker containers and Docker compose- Understanding of path to production (production, test, development)

Inside this Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
