ASIC IP Verification Engineer

The Group:
As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design packages.
The Person:
A Pre-Si verification engineer owns one or more architectural functional blocks to perform all verification related tasks:
Create test plan and develop test bench using UVM methodology
Perform IP and block level coverage driven verification
Improve existing methodologies to enable effective verification
Perform Formal Verification, Low Power Verification, Performance Verification, Co-Simulation, Emulation, etc.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with problem solving abilities, communication skills and desire to learn. Technically, a solid foundation of digital design (System Verilog) and object oriented programming is desired but not required.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years of industry experience or a related field of study.
OR
Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 1+ years of industry experience or a related field of study.
Strong background in HDLs and HVL (e.g. SystemVerilog, OVM, UVM, etc.)
Debugging and problem solving skills
Project based teamwork
Object Oriented Programming experience
Preferred:
Developing and advancing UVM/Formal-based verification architectures and methodologies
Managing verification regression testing, including results triage and delegating debugging for failed tests
Mentoring and coaching members of the team
Linux experience
Additional programming languages: Python, Perl, C, C++, and/or SystemC
Low power verification experience
Formal verification experience
Familiarity with NVMe, Ethernet, and/or PCIe protocols
Working experience with IP/ASIC/SoC block-level, cluster, or top-level verification

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
