Job Description

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Intel Corporation's Toronto Technology Centre is a world-class research and development site. Our staff, acknowledged as among the world's leading experts, create state-of-the-art CAD software tools and industry-leading programmable logic device architectures. Intel Toronto's research and development facility employs some of the city's most accomplished technologists and we offer among the best compensation packages in the industry.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap, and development of product features from beginning to end. You will help to develop software that provides functional, timing and power models of Intel'sField Programmable Gate Arrays(FPGAs). The significant programmability of FPGAs means that signification amounts of data are required to fully describe its characteristics and there is constant room for innovative software optimization.

A key challenge in developing the device modeling software is to create software efficiently so that customers can extract the most value from our FPGAs. Across all these domains, a position in device modeling allows developers to see the life cycle of FPGAs from start to finish, to see the role that software can play to accelerate the roll out of these products, and to maximize the performance of our SW and HW products.

As a software developer you will present the opportunity to develop new approaches for using data about our FPGAs, optimizing data structures for performance and memory, and developing new algorithms to optimize the experience for FPGA users.
