Join our Software and Advanced Technology Group as a Security Software Architect!

Intel Trust Platform is built on a distributed ledger service that provides programmatic execution engines to support Key Value Store, SQL like databases, Ethereum Virtual Machine with more to come. You will be leading the Security Architecture for the core ledger infrastructure, working on cutting-edge technologies building byzantine fault tolerant system based on SBFT. This Replicated state Machine can perform thousands of transactions per second in a secure and Trusted mission critical enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Security Architecture for Core Byzantine Fault Tolerant Ledger service, architect, design and implement security strategies and policies for the Intel Trust Platform (ITP).

  • Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and perform ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security

  • Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture.

  • Be the security domain expert encompassing all aspects of data in flight, at rest and in use, encryption and secret management.

  • Develop and mentor other technical members, evangelize the Secure Development Lifecycle

  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop plans to address them.

  • Facilitate and drive consensus on large multi-functional projects intended to address security technical debt

  • Collaborate with teams across the broader Intel security organization and surface tools and processes that we can demonstrate to reduce risk across the business

  • Proliferate robust security principles through your technical contributions and evangelization into our organization work-practices, including threat modeling, secure code reviews, fuzzing, penetration testing, rapid resolution of security defects and promote Hackathon activities


Qualifications


Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ year of experience in:

Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of experience in data confidentiality, data integrity, cryptography, or distributed identification and authentication and trusted recovery for distributed systems

  • 6 or more years of experience in programming skills in C++, Golang, Rust

  • 4 or more years of experience with Security Assessments and Reviews, incident response and recovery techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data storage technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, distributed systems, BigData, etc.)

  • Understand authentication and authorization technologies and their impact on data storage and security (OAuth, SSO, JWT, etc.

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts and mitigation practices, such as Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Credential Theft, Zero Trust, Privileged Access. Management, Just-in-time Administration, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Motivated self-starter capable of collaborating across organizational boundaries.

  • Understanding of Cloud Governance, Regulatory and Compliances standards like CIS Benchmarks, NIST Framework, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.

  • In-depth understanding of security concepts, such as threat modelling, security lifecycle, secure HW/SW architecture, and design, knowledge of cryptographic application (algorithms, usage etc.), security implication of various cloud services.

  • Familiarity with Go and Python is a plus.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,410.00-$250,410.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
