Cloud Software Development Engineer
Come and join the Intel Costa Rica Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group as a Cloud Software Development Engineer.
You will be part of a team chartered to build Customer Fleet and Scale Capabilities for server customers to enable on-time high-quality launches of Intel server programs, as well as in-Fleet product experience. You must be a quick learner, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. You will have opportunities to participate in various projects as part of product development or research.
The focus of this position is to work collaboratively with other Software Engineers implementing requirements of server customer software that impact Intel Xeon roadmap. Will work on extending existing Software and work collaboratively to create a set of customer-consumable Software to observe into the system state internals including Intel Architecture components. Will also need to put customers first by enabling solutions to use such Software to solve in-field and at scale challenges.
The position will involve collaboratively designing and developing code in Python and C/C++ to meet customer server debug needs. It will also include leveraging existing code and debugging and fixing issues in the existing Python and C/C++ code bases, which are large and complex.

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with 5+ years of below experience.
Intermediate to advanced English level.
Proven track record of developing software and use debug solutions for complex high-performance multi-core CPU or equivalent products with a capability to resolve customer issues. The position requires a working understanding of Intel Architecture-based systems at a board-level.
This position requires Software development and methodology skills that requires to implement Software solutions whose breadth spans from low-level hardware (Intel Architecture x86) interfacing to GUI development. Strong background experience in programming in languages such as Python, C/C++. Also experience with Data Structures and Operating Systems.
Experience in validation or enabling silicon DFx capabilities with expertise in areas of pre-silicon and post-silicon verification/validation processes and challenges.
Knowledge of good software practices, such as requirements writing and execution, Agile framework, good testing methodologies such as unit and regression testing.
Experience with Software Version Control and Continuous Integration automation tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins.
Knowledge of software engineering practices, including the use of design patterns, object-oriented development, service-oriented architecture, and overall system design methodologies.
Experience identifying customer solution opportunities and technical areas of improvement, with a singular focus on sustainable Customer value.
Knowledge in Linux development environments. Knowledge of Linux internals is a plus.
Knowledge in Cloud Solutions/Infrastructure as a power user (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.) is a plus.

Working ModelThis role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
