Job Description


We are looking for a software development engineer to join the R and D team that develops compilers for current and future AI/deep learning accelerators at Intel. Our state-of-the-art compilers play a huge role in unlocking the immense computational capabilities of Intel's accelerators and we continue to innovate in this space as the hardware evolves along with new AI models.

We are passionate about performance and focus on developing scalable production-grade compilers that can tackle the huge variety of workloads being developed and deployed in the AI space. We also actively leverage and contribute to open-source compiler ecosystems like MLIR and LLVM.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement next-gen features in our production compiler.
  • Work on 'graph'-level and 'mid'-level compiler optimizations.
  • Explore solutions to deliver end-to-end workload performance.
  • Put together, discuss, prototype and advocate for new compilation techniques.
  • Collaborate with peers in SW, Architecture and HW teams.

Qualifications


Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or Master's/PhD with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of C++ development experience and 4+ years of experience in one of the following:

  • LLVM/MLIR Development.
  • High-performance code generation and optimization.
  • Loop Optimizations such as vectorization, fusion, parallelization, etc.
  • Compilation for GPUs and other high-performance parallel architectures.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $180,070.00-$270,050.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
