The heart of Intel innovation lies in its semiconductor facilities and this is your opportunity play a central role in maintaining our state of the art Corporate Services Facilities Systems, including exhaust systems, oil free air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers and Ultrapure water systems. Our CS Engineering Team make a big impact by supporting our daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability and environmental compliance across a wide range of large scale mechanical engineering systems. Furthermore, our Facilities Engineering Team are heavily involved in the design and delivery of ongoing system upgrades, the delivery of substantial site upgrades and the delivery of new factories. The role advertised here is for an experienced engineer who will work in the CS Facilities Engineering Operations Team as a system owner. This role is a mechanical engineering position but a knowledge of the principles of chemistry and biology as they apply to Mechanical and Ultrapure Water systems (e.g. exhaust abatement, closed loop and open loop water systems) would be an advantage. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic, experienced engineer who can bring significant industry experience, work within a strong team culture and work in a dynamic and leading edge technology environment. This role will also offer you the opportunity to collaborate with the site facility management team, suppliers, other disciplines and other Intel sites across the world. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: � Role modelling a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence at a competitive cost. � System owner for sustaining and continuous improvement of existing systems. Accountable for safety, system operations, maintenance procedures, reliability and cost. � Understand system reliability and availability and manage any scheduled or unscheduled down time and mitigating any risk to production. � Be the primary point of contact for any customer queries or troubleshooting. � Experience of interpreting PIDs and designed capacity. � Be able to work successfully with our design and construction teams to upgrade and modify live systems to meet the changing environmental, operational and business demands of the Intel Ireland site. � Strong problem solving ability. Be able to apply critical thinking when examining systems with safety and reliability in mind. � Ability to multi-task. � Ability to work with minimum direction, to be self-motivated with own initiative. � Must be able to work in a diverse team environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. � Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present and explain data to both technical and non-technical forums. � Supports projects, factory task forces, cross-site teams, cross-discipline teams, Module Teams, Facility Process Transfer, incident resolution, etc. when their systems are involved. � Ability to manage projects from concept to delivery in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications
� Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar from an accredited university. Minimum of FETAC Level 8 � 6 years of relevant experience in areas such as facilities exhaust, chillers, boilers, compressor systems and ultrapure water systems including � Experience in demonstrating engineering principles, including chemical piping, neutralization, filtration, pumps operation and maintenance, valves, flow calculations. � Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. � Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction and as part of a larger team and ability to coach and develop junior engineers. � Familiar with chemical analytical lab techniques used to diagnose and determine corrective courses to ongoing issues. Additional experience that would be an advantage: � Ability to work well in a diverse team environment. � Excellent computer skills, strong data analysis capability and knowledge of statistical process analysis. � Knowledge of structured problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and ability to apply them. � Ability to mentor and coach team mates and ability to influence stakeholders.Inside this Business Group
