Experienced EHS Environmental Engineer
Job Description
Provides ownership and support to ensure Intel complies with all local and regional environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations and to all Intel EHS standards.
Provides ownership and management of environmental programs (such as air emissions, effluents, hazardous waste and chemical management) , environmental incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action plans, submittal of environmental permitting, licenses, certifications, and external reports, and environmental risk assessments.
Manages and predicts EHS operational risks /hazards and conducts audits to identify risks, certain ways to mitigate them, and establish their environmental impacts using both observations and tests.
Ensures compliance with environmental standards, procedures and protocols and stays up to date with any changes in the regulations and industry practices with respect to EHS.
Investigates incidents (spills or chemical releases) to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future and drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
Develops environmental metrics to measure, monitor, and forecast performance and conduct environmental risk assessments/audits. Drives an environmentally responsible culture within the organization and functions as a leader regarding regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction.
Manages and oversees compliance with local and federal environmental regulations and Intel policy.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: MA in environmental Engineering Proven English capabilities (verbal, writing) Passion to promote Environmental agenda throughout the company via innovations, improvements, and engineering enhancements proven data mining and analytical skills Good knowledge of MS Office software (excel, power point, word, outlook) Preferred Qualifications: Team player, seeks to improve and develop in the Environmental world. Ability to influence and work w wide range of stakeholders Initiator, responsible, independent Good presentation skills The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Motivated self-starter with a tolerance for ambiguity. Skills to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees, customer service skills and proven leadership capabilities. Analytical skills with the expertise to work both independently and as part of a team. Time management skills with expertise to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Written and verbal communication skills.
