Network Performance and Analytics Architect
Job Description
Intel's Dev Cloud team is seeking a Network Architect and Design Engineer! The position requires knowledge and experience in distributed systems, large data center networks, and ethernet switch management is required with an emphasis on high performance networks. Collecting and analyzing network flow and congestion management and designing for secure multi-tenant environment.
The candidate will engage development of proof of concept, reference and production network topologies for operational high-performance clusters. The candidate will also define and execute architecture concepts and performance models in the network to drive architectural decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a broad, system-level understanding of data center systems, networking, Linux kernel, I/O technology, use of accelerators in the data center. Experience in the design of cloud network subsystems and management is required.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience in:
System performance and Networking experience including developing and deploying distributed solutions
Performance telemetry
Switch OS technology
Xeon platforms, Network Switches and Nics
Developing both Linux kernel and user space infrastructure and drivers
Linux architecture (Kernel, user space, and virtualization)
Architecture and data center

Preferred Qualifications
Arista Nos and SONIC, PA firewalls
Intel Processors, NICs within a data center context
Various communications protocols like Ethernet, IP, RDMA (RoCE)
Packet generators, DPDK type of framework

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
