Employees in the Foundry Technology Development group are part of a worldwide network of design, research, development, manufacturing, and assembly/test facilities, all focused on utilizing the power of Moore's Law to bring smart, connected devices to every person on Earth. Within Components Research (CR), the labs are responsible for inventing and demonstrating revolutionary new devices to ensure Intel's future technology leadership. This position is for a lab operations engineer to support and enable this work through both tool support and research lab program support.

Work will require the candidate to work in both clean room and non-clean room lab environments to support various job requests.

This position will have an emphasis on semiconductor processing, including; photolithography, etch tool operation, various deposition tools, wet etching, etc. The selected engineer will work frequently with process engineers on research projects and have opportunities to work independently as their specialized skills increase.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eager to take on challenges and complete complex tasks within given timelines.

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • +1yr of experience in a research lab setting.
  • Experience with photolithography
  • Experience with chemical handling and safety.
  • Experience with fab or lab processing or other hands-on material processing or analysis
  • Experience with metrology and data analysis
