Job Description

Develops and/or validates software that enables Intel GPUs. Scope can spans the entire stack, from firmware and device drivers through APIs and the application layer, and may also include the tools, infrastructure, and technologies necessary to develop, profile, optimize, and productize Intel GPUs or graphics/GPGPU software solutions.

The Open Source Graphics Center is responsible for developing Linux drivers and technology for Intel's Graphics/Compute products. We commit quality code to drive open source software reliability, accessibility, security and performance. This is a place where people do meaningful work and have fun doing it. You will use your technical skills to dive deep into Intel's Linux GPU CI/CD process, contributing towards the release of industry-leading features for Intel's integrated and discrete graphics/compute products. You will have the opportunity to work directly with open source communities and across business units within Intel.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A completed Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python/bash
- Working knowledge in the software engineering development lifecycle process
- Familiarity with tools for CI/CD and have experience in the development process automation, software deployment and testing (GIT, Github, GitLab, Jenkins or other similar)
- Debugging and system integration skills
- A willingness to work in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-site organizations
- Minimum of 3+ years' industry experience working in large scale software product development teams and projects

Preferred Qualifications: (Having one or more of the following qualifications is Preferred)
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines from code commits to production
- Experience with systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging
- Understanding of Linux Operating system architecture and device driver model
- Familiarity with Linux kernel open source contributions and practices
- Familiarity with Linux DRM subsystem and graphics/compute SW stack is a plus

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
