Job Description
Intel delivers world-leading silicon and compute platforms to Public Sector partners worldwide. The Intel Government Technologies (IGT) Go-to-Market (GTM) team is chartered with driving growth of commercial sales and direct contract revenue within government to deliver on ambitious business growth objectives.The VP, Government Sales and Commercial Growth will oversee all aspects of revenue generation, including government contracting, commercial sales, marketing, customer success initiatives, and strategic partnerships. This individual will be instrumental in driving growth, building market share, and ensuring long-term profitability of Intel's business in the Public Sector.This role requires a seasoned results-focused growth executive with strategic long-term vision to anchor Intel as the foundational technology partner with the US and partner governments. The VP, Government Sales and Commercial Growth will drive cross-divisional strategies to maximize Intel's competitive advantage with a focus across sales of commercial products, customized products, foundry services, and advanced RnD to support mission objectives of the defense and intelligence community as well as civilian customers.The leader will report to the President of Intel Government Technologies and will lead an organization consisting of sales teams, pre-sales engineering, business development, partner engagement, and capture and proposal management. The position requires extensive sales and marketing experience, organizational acumen, and the ability to influence with a customer-first mindset. Significant experience in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) is highly desired.The VP, Government Sales and Commercial Growth responsibilities include:
- Oversee revenue generation across government contracting and commercial sales in alignment with Intel's near and long-term growth plans.
- Cultivate a team focused on customer success, pipeline development, accurate forecasting, and consistent deal closures.
- Monitor and interpret trends in government semiconductor needs, shaping strategic investments in RnD, products, and semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.
- Elevate and grow Intel's influence and share of voice with public sector strategic decision makers, customers, and partners to position Intel as a strategic partner of choice.
- Leverage industry partnerships and alliances to develop innovative go-to-market strategies that enhance Intel's position as the national semiconductor leader.
- Partner with product management, foundry, and RnD teams to align commercial-off-the-shelf and customized technology offerings with customers' mission needs.
- Influence internal senior level stakeholders and customers'/ecosystem C-Suite decision makers to achieve Intel's business objectives.
- Develop and implement a strategy to expand Intel Foundry revenue by aligning capabilities with government technology needs, ecosystem strategies, and policy objectives.
- Attract top talent and foster an agile and engaged high performing organization that thrives.
- Demonstrated track record growing multi-billion-dollar business(es) in the public sector
- The ability to forge and convert strategic relationships into increased reach, relevance, and revenue for Intel.
- Background operating in a highly matrixed and fast-moving environment where influencing skills are just as critical as organizational hierarchies.
- Experience recruiting, retaining, and inspiring top talent
- Broad and deep network of relationships in the public sector.
- A thorough understanding of the legislative processes regarding government budgeting and spending.
- Exceptional organizational experience providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams with exposure to government relations, operations, marketing, and strategy. Proven track record of successfully managing senior personnel.
- Excellent political and business judgment, with a high degree of discretion. Strong analytical skills.
- Sophisticated, polished presentation that commands respect. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deliver keynotes, manage press, and operate with C-level partner executives.
- Clear reputation for ethical conduct and unquestioned integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:The ideal candidate must be a recognized and active leader in the technology with exceptional track record of performance and leadership in the public sector. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated outstanding track record in:
- Bachelor level education in a technical, policy, or management domain.
- 8+ years leading and managing sales organizations in the public sector.
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master level education in a technical, policy, or management domain.
- 10+ years leading and managing sales organizations in the public sector.
- Technology and/or manufacturing industry experience: Experience working in or with technology companies or technology driven manufacturing companies. Demonstrated ability to understand semiconductor technologies underlying government-oriented strategy and advocacy.
- Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance
