The Demand forecasting and planning solution delivery group within SC-IT : IBP ( Supply Chain IT - Integrated Business Planning ) portfolio in Intel IT is focused on delivering transformative solutions for Intel's Demand forecasting and Planning business processes aligning to IT's reference architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team who are in midst of transforming legacy solutions as part of Supply/Demand/Revenue Alignment (SDRA) initiative under EBP (Enterprise Business Planning) program. You will provide product leadership to one of the Agile persistent teams (Delivery team) to deliver products requested by the customer with high quality. Some of your responsibilities are
a) Maximize the value of the product and the work of the Delivery Team by clearly expressing Product Backlog items; ordering the items to best achieve goals and missions; calculating, measuring and tracking business value; optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs; ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Delivery Team will work on next; and ensuring the Delivery Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
b) Responsible for engaging with key stakeholders within and outside the organization, the Delivery Team and ScrumMaster to build an exceptional product. Effectively captures stakeholder assumptions and translates them into hypothesis driven outcomes.
c) Creates the vision of the product through extensive knowledge of the system or product, business need, users, market, competitors and future trends of a particular domain being developed.
d) Being knowledgeable of Agile and Scrum practices., creates and prioritizes features, user stories, acceptance criteria and the product backlog for each sprint.
e) Actively engages with the Delivery Team to collaborate, negotiate and commit to product requirements.
f) Empowers the Delivery Team to determine work load for each sprint. Provides clear direction and flexibility when priorities change based on user needs and requirements.
g) Participates in all Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, release and sprint planning and retrospectives) as required.
The ideal candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of IT working experience implementing software solutions out of which at least 2 years leading the product delivery as a Product Owner.
Proven experience in Enterprise software configurations and delivery with at least 2+ years of years experience in BlueYonder(r) Demand Planning domain
Experience in delivering Blue Yonder Demand planning solutions for High Tech Industry , predominantly monthly Sales Forecasting, Statistical forecasting , system-driven disaggregation, collaborative and consensus demand planning .
Good understanding of various backend driven processes such as algorithmic ASP calculations, Billing forecast generation, forecast expiration, hard allocation for customers using predefined custom rules and forecast netting engine outputs that are implemented using SQL procedures and Forecast Netting Engine module of BY Order Promiser (OP) for supply planning.
Strong feature, User Story, User Acceptance criteria and product backlog development and prioritization skills
Knowledge of the best practices and design trends for responsive design, experience building sustainable solutions.
Analytical approach to solving system issues including understanding system interdependencies
Help technology team to identify and consider all alternate solutions and help them in implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance,
usability, reliability and scalability requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management skills ; verbal and written communication skills.
Scrum Certified Agile Product Owner ( CSPO)
Proven ability to successfully juggle multiple projects and/or priorities and able to shift direction quickly when priorities change
Understanding of Test First Software Engineering Approach like test-driven development.
Experience supporting the scope related to various upstream interfaces built to source master data, transactional data to the Enterprise planning tool and downstream consumption of demand signals, consensus forecast and netting engine outputs.
Be aware of technical debts and ensure compliance on infrastructure upgrades, patch maintenances and security vulnerability fixes, data refresh schedules and frequency and effectively include the same in the product backlogs..
Experience using industry standard test and defect management systems like Rally, Jira.
Good understanding of the latest trends and best practices in the Supply chain domain
