Cloud Software Development Engineer

Job Description

Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybridcloud, and/or onprem deployment models. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Qualifications

Education Qualification: BE/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science/Engineering with 10+ years of experience. Must have hands-on experience in below: 1. Data Engineering, Data Lake and Data Warehousing 2. Azure Data Factory 3. Databricks 4. SQL, PySpark, Python - required for building transformations in data pipelines. 4. Azure Synapse / Snowflake 5. ADLS Storage 6. CI/CD systems, like Azure DevOps 7. Experience in developing enterprise level applications Should have prior experience building guidance / recommendation for developers. Bonus points, if you have experience in below: Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps (including building CI/CD pipelines) Automated testing and troubleshooting experience. Working Knowledge of Big data solutions (Spark, Hive, Impala) The ideal candidate will also bring a diverse skill set: Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD capabilities. Required Soft Skills: Critical thinking, excellent verbal/written communication, and presentation skills along with, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
