PRC HR Director
Job Description
The HR Director for China is responsible for managing and leading the HR team that provides comprehensive strategic and operational HR support to all businesses in China spanning operations including a leading edge 3D NAND fab, a critical Assembly Test factory, a dynamic sales team that generates approximately 20B USD in annual revenues, and an engineering team that is responsible for cutting edge technologies in domains such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G, Internet of Things. The position is a critical member of the China leadership team providing strategic business partnership to Intel's China leadership staff and the China strategy office. The HR Director will shape and implement the HR strategy that will address and enable the key China business imperatives. The person will lead an HR team that is geographically spread, cutting across Business HR and CoEs including Comp and Ben, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Leadership Development and Learning. The person will be responsible to build a strong, inspired team, through active coaching, development, collaboration and role modeling, that will deliver solid results. This role will report into the VP of HR Sales and Marketing Group.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess in-depth experience and knowledge in the HR function, experience of translating business strategies to delivery of critical HR results. This role requires someone who can balance the requirements of being a trusted advisor to senior business partners across the organization, a steady guide in complex global and regional stakeholder environments, a builder of strong partnerships across HR, a people manager committed to innovation, and a leader of a team that excels at extending their capabilities by working through others. This person will deal with confidential and sensitive matters and must handle this with the utmost integrity and responsibility at all times. The person must have experience in building and coordinating complex stakeholder relationships and implementing solutions and systems that address business needs. Educational Requirements A post-graduate degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology or a related field with 15+ years related experience Knowledge and Experience the candidate will need to be successful in this role: Executive Presence: Quickly build trust and credibility with executive leaders, and to influence actions and growth beyond their comfort zone. Organization Diagnosis and Design: Translate the strategic business goals into organizational capabilities to drive organizational alignment through holistic organizational design. Demonstrate ability to use a variety of assessment methods to gather and analyze data to fit the business context. Can differentiate between symptoms and root causes. Leadership Development and Coaching: Provide excellent coaching to org leaders and the leadership team enabling aligned leadership with a clear, executable strategy. Know when and how to provide constructive feedback, team effectiveness interventions and advocate for the getting the right leaders in place for a high performing leadership team. Workforce Planning: Assess the organization's talent against their near-term and longer-term business needs and identify needed actions to ensure the right talent is on board. Relationship Management: Build trusting relationships very quickly that allow you to provide practical, as well as visionary, solutions and services. Possess the emotional intelligence to adapt your engagements to align successfully to the situation and assume responsibility for achieving results. Exquisitely manage multiple stakeholders to drive sustainable solutions. Must possess the ability to work across partners and stakeholders across countries in Asia and globally, including corporate stakeholders. Synthesizing Information: Influence the business through integrated, clear information that results in a focused plan of action. Able to discern patterns and connections in information and to leverage in assessment and design work. Expert in communicating complex information in simple ways and convincing people to join the cause. Organization Leadership: Ability to lead account teams, manage matrix relationships, drive strategy execution through influencing, and through exquisite stakeholder management Local China experience and acumen: An understanding of the China business landscape, knowledge/experience within the China region and of its culture will be a definite advantage.
