You will join our Quartus and eTools development team in Toronto, Canada as a Software Engineer to research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable the use of our structured ASIC (eASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) devices.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable the use of eASIC and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) devices.

  • Develop and optimize compilers, floor-planner, place and route, Design Rule Checking (DRC), tool runtimes, and/or firmware that are closely coupled to eASIC and FPGA silicon, while leveraging strong knowledge of hardware architecture, logic design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout.

  • Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

  • Team player, collaborator, and role model.

  • Passion to exceed expectations and constantly push the envelope.

  • Demonstrated skills of technical rigor and data driven decision-making.


Qualifications


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field plus 4 years of EDA industry experience, OR

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience C++

  • Algorithms and data structure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in HDL languages in one of the following: (Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog.)

  • Experience with structured ASIC EDA compiler.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
