Principal Engineer, Rack Systems Architect
Job Description
1. Architects and defines artificial intelligence (AI) systems requirements, use cases, system flows, and AI systems architecture and specifications that integrate and optimize AI solutions.
2. Develops, tests, and modifies new and existing AI systems or applications for improvement in quality, power, and performance standards.
3. Performs testing and debugging of AI systems, analyzes traces to root cause defects, and develops debug and analysis tools.
4. Designs, builds, delivers, and operates AI solutions that drive standards and efficiency across the ecosystem.
5. Determines integrated hardware, software, and data architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
6. Drives the readiness, internally as well as externally, with manufacturers and vendors for application of new solutions, techniques, and methodologies to reference systems and to scale to customer designs.
7. Collaborates with cross functional engineering teams to design innovative enhancements for AI systems meeting client and market expectations.
8. Influences related technology/partner groups.
9. Maintains documentation of specifications and best practices.
10. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values.
11. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.
Qualifications
1. Proven Technical Leader with in-depth industry experience in system and rack design and validation.
2. Knowledgeable with industry trends and direction including but not limited to high power rack power design and delivery, liquid cooling infrastructure and design.
3. Familiarity with scale-up, scales out fabric technology and architectures with ability to architect rack systems design.
4. Ability to recognize shifting technical market landscape, absorb the changes and synthesize insights to influence change.
5. Strong technical communication skills with ability to explain complex technical issues, concept and idea. Team player
