The AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) is an essential component of the factory. It manages the storage and transportation of wafers and reticles in a cleanroom environment. The Arizona AMHS team provides services to the Ocotillo campus, comprising of Fab 12, 22, 32, and 42, and is currently expanding to include Fab 52. As an Equipment Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.

•  Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.

•  Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed.

•  Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues. 

• Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance. 

• Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures.

•  Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions. 

• During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:

• The candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of  relevant experience

•  -OR- an Associates Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field of study 

• Candidate must have 1+ years of experience with at least one of the following:

  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

  • Dismantle, repair, and assemble equipment.

 Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out: 

• Experience with the following: Robotic

  Electro-Mechanical

  Semiconductor 

  Clean-room
