HR Analytics and Reporting Business Analyst
Job Description
Develops processes and systems in support of the employee services cycle with a breadth of global services that includes: benefits, retirement, workforce mobility, employee support and executive services. Advises and fosters a global understanding of broad human resources principles, policies, procedures and systems across all Intel employees in service of the development and maintenance of a positive working environment across the enterprise. Contributes to and often drives strategic decision making to execute specific human resources business processes within the scope of the area of Human Resources Global Services (HRGS) and works closely with other members of the organization in daytoday operations and in identifying ways in which HRGS can improve process and customer experience while interacting with an endtoend mindset and global environment. Builds a deep understanding of customer organizations, their strategic drivers, current pain points and future needs through gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources. Leads root cause analysis, containment, recommendations and resolution of quality issues and executes complex human resources data transactions. Monitors and follows up proactively with manager on any changes to volume, complexity, cadence etc. and provides an excellent service quality adhering to goals and standards defined by the region.Qualifications
Qualifications: An ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate proven experience as an HR data analyst or similar role and be skilled in HR systems. The candidate should be able to analyze and present complex data in a simple and comprehensible way and have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. A demonstrable combination of some the following skills is preferred: 1. Data Analysis Skills - Descriptive Analytics: Using data to describe trends and patterns (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting). - Predictive Analytics: Leveraging historical data to predict future outcomes (e.g., regression, classification, clustering). 2. Data Visualization and Reporting Tools - Microsoft Excel (Advanced): Proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. - Visualization Tools: some proficiency with tools like Power BI to create dashboards and reports. - Charting Techniques: Using appropriate chart types to represent data (e.g., histograms, bar charts, scatter plots). 4. Technical Proficiency - Business Intelligence (BI): Understanding of BI tools to gather, analyze, and visualize business information. - Data Mining: Discovering patterns and insights from large datasets (e.g., clustering, classification). 5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Gap Analysis: Identifying discrepancies between current and desired performance. - Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the underlying causes of data issues or business problems. - Cost-Benefit Analysis: Using data to weigh the benefits of various business decisions. - SWOT Analysis: Evaluating strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in data and business contexts. 6. Soft Skills Related to Reporting - Data Storytelling: Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Presentation Skills: Proficiency with creating presentations in PowerPoint. - Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with different teams to understand their data needs and present findings clearly. 7. Reporting Standards and Best Practices - Data Integrity: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in data reporting. - KPI Definition: Experience with setting up and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for business reporting. - Ad-hoc Reporting: Ability to quickly produce reports based on specific business questions or problems.Inside this Business Group
