Senior Software Development Engineer – EDA automation (f/m)

Job Description

The development process of cutting-edge communication devices requires sophisticated automation solutions to meet breath-taking time-to-market requirements, product complexity challenges and quality standards.

We are looking for an experienced software developer to bring-in new ideas and latest IT technology to strengthen the DfT automation team. Your work starts by defining the software architecture and will include all process steps from implementing the SW, testing, documentation, training, roll-out and support. A self-driven working style is required. Our team drives innovation in DFT from concept to silicon. We are a multi-national team and cooperate and work with teams around the world and from different fields, e.g. system engineering, digital SoC and analog/mixed-signal/RF IP design teams, layout and synthesis teams, and test engineering. We are always striving to improve our flows and processes, to be open and easy to work with, and to grow both as individuals and as a team.


  • Define and implement highly automated SW solutions in the Design-for-Test context
  • Support effective software tooling for a network of worldwide development and production teams
  • Contribute to Design-for-Test concepts for Systems-on-Chip considering business targets like test costs and quality


5+ years' experience in software development SW development: Continuous integration, Python, TCL, C, Java, SQL, object oriented programming, scripting languages, web design or GUI development Software verification and quality assurance Software development experience in Unix/Linux compute cluster Basic knowledge of Verilog/VHDL, DFT, synthesis and experience with simulator and waveform debugging tools advantageous Ability to work in a team, and ability to work independently Creativity, self-starter, quick learner M.Sc. or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field Fluent English required, German advantageous
