As the Director, Solutions Architecture and Integration Engineering, you will be expected to provide technical leadership, vision and guidance of software ecosystems, hire and nurture a high performance team, and execute on a strategy that is focused on generating high impact, revenue producing contributions.Position Responsibilities- Drive SDI architecture across internal engineering groups, external partner ecosystem and customers Enterprise, Comms, CSP, HPC that achieves overall DSG goals and objectives- Influence internal organizations, customers and partners to adopt SDI architecture- Be a thought leader be promoting a vision of the Software Defined Datacenter SDDC, through white papers, blogs and speaking engagements at external conferences, meetups and internal presentations- Ensure a cohesive technology strategy that influences SDI product roadmaps- Play a critical role in winning and managing lighthouse customers using SDI solutions or technologies.- Structure and drive conversations with internal/external partners and stakeholders to understand technology goals in support of business objectives.- Gather requirements for internal/external engineering needs in support of solution architectures and SDI priorities.- Collaborate and engage with internal/external solutions engineering teams, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to provide the framework for customer adoption and implementation of new SDI solutions. - Influence the future of our products by acting as the SDI technology voice for customer solution development and projects. - Cross-pollinate ideas and plans between teams and external partners- Inspire team, peers and other Intel sister organizations to perform at the top of their capabilities- Mentor engineers and help them grow- Foster good craftsmanship, quality, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications:- Strong knowledge of software ecosystems - Proven ability to hire, manage and scale a top notch team- Proven ability to lead developers in an agile environment to deliver high quality output- 7-15 years of broad and practical experience in architecting, engineering, and operating data center infrastructure with domain expertise in one or more of these key areas servers, networking, storage, infrastructure management, power/thermals, automation, orchestration, scheduling, and distributed systems.- 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Product or Program Manager - 3+ years leading/influencing HPC, cloud, virtualization, or big data workloads - Experience working with customers in the design and deployment of automated large scale data center solutions using either open source or proprietary solutions.- Experienced in translating complex business and technical challenges into technical solutions- Excellent written and verbal communications prefer public speaking experience- Depth and breadth of legacy, existing, and next generation data center solutions- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning- Intellectually rigorous and creative problem solving ability- Must be willing to travel - domestic and international Additional Qualifications: - BA/BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience- Proven ability to engineer or drive engineering decision for distributed, open source systems, platforms and openstacks.- Proven contributions to the technology industry for data center infrastructure solutions e.g. whitepapers, patents, code contributions, video recordings- Experience as a committer to open source project, especially in a Cloud ecosystem.
