Intel's Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) organization is looking for a talented individual to support the TD Jira and TD Jira Service Management (JSM) platforms and corresponding plugins/ connections as an Application Software Engineer. Working within TD ATA Business Process Engineering (BPE) group, this position will be responsible for all areas of Jira administration including systems, administration, application management, API management, change control, risk management, testing, and validation for multiple programs and teams. This role requires a technical aptitude and the ability to balance day to day operations with larger project/ program work, with significant experience in Atlassian's product portfolio.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Fully understand ATA's Kubernetes-based private cloud platform, execute deployment, maintenance, and support responsibilities.
* Analyze, review, and document current architecture, configuration, and functionality, identify areas for improvement and/ or optimization.
* Create, manage and support Atlassian REST API for users to automate manual processes, implement business processes and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes.
* Own all Jira and Jira Service Management administrative functions associated with workflows, automation, custom fields, schemes, permissions, plug-ins, and integrations.
* Partner closely with TD stakeholders to fully understand enhancement requests and problem statements to recommend appropriate solutions, in alignment with best practices and TD ATA processes.
* Own the Jira and Jira Service Management CIP and enhancement roadmap for TD customers and execute against priority, schedule, and value.
* Implement new plug-ins and capabilities leveraging standard SDLC methodology including documenting requirements, design and implementation, testing and validation, deployment, and support and maintenance.
* Ensure platform availability based on defined SLAs, optimize installation and support of plug-ins and integrations to minimize downtime and maximize performance and functionality.
* Partner with appropriate departments to coordinate maintenance, support TD Jira and TD JSM through troubleshooting issues, responding to user requests, and applying updates and patches.
* Execute training sessions for new users and new capabilities and develop corresponding support documentation to ensure optimal use of TD Jira and TD JSM.
* Support broader TD ATA linked programs through solid project and program management execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

• 3+ year of experience in the below:

  • Jira Software administration and support

  • Software design and development

  • Development in Linux and Windows OS

• Intermediate level experience with Jira searches, use of JQL, dashboards, and plug-ins that expand Jira functionality and workflows

• Advanced English

• Costa Rican unrestricted work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Jira Software Script Runner and Configuration Manager

• Jira Service Management administration and support

• Experience using GitHub, ServiceNow, ElasticSearch (ELK Stack)

• Experience working with containers in cloud environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher (Kubernetes interface)

• Understanding of the software development life cycle and corresponding tools

• Working knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodology

• Global cultural orientation and working experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
