Intel Federal LLC (IFL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation with responsibility for managing Intel's business with the US Federal Government. We collaborate across Intel Corporation to develop and execute programs for US Government (USG) agencies, defense contractors, and others, that align to Intel's strategies. Intel Federal is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and well-organized Facility Security Officer/Contractor Special Security Officer (FSO/CSSO) based in Santa Clara, CA. The FSO/CSSO is responsible for ensuring Intel Federal and all cleared employees are compliant with the National Industrial Security Program, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, as well as Intelligence Community Directives and Program Guidance (ICDs and ICPGs). The FSO/CSSO will manage, oversee, and act on matters concerning national security compliance as it relates to government agencies. The FSO/CSSO will also be responsible for the management of secure facilities and the physical security measures within. Strong program security experience with multiple customers is required to understand the complexities of each customer and their unique clearance processing protocols.

This position requires independent judgment and discretion, risk analysis skills, as well as the identification, analysis, and resolution of security-related matters. You will provide support for all security functions in accordance with the ICDs, 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule, and all other applicable directives to include managing Personal Security Clearances (PCLs) associated with collateral and SCI programs.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and NISP/NISPOM for a secured facility.
  • Investigate and submit Security Violations and Incident Reports as required by applicable government directives.
  • Prepare facility for required annual audits/vulnerability assessments conducted by multiple government agencies.
  • Administer personnel security system for clearances and periodic reinvestigations through DISS/NISS and other customer methods.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual security education and training to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Orient employees in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government and customer regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with multiple DoD Agency Representative(s), DCSA Representative(s), prime contractor and subcontractor FSOs and CSSOs.
  • Maintain personnel security records and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within USG and Intel Federal requirements.
  • Administer an inventory and document control program.
  • Apply mitigation policies and procedures to minimize incidents.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and intelligence agencies as necessary.
  • Conduct regular reporting on security status, compliance, and other metrics to senior management.
  • Conduct security briefings and debriefings for employees who travel abroad.
  • Implement and manage an insider threat program.
  • Oversee security compliance of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Stay current with ongoing education and training in security policies and practices.
  • Participate in crisis management and business continuity planning.

  • 24/7 on call support availability
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of effectively working multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, as well as experience in collaboration, listening and providing feedback.

Qualifications


Minimum Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance. U.S. Citizen is required.

High School diploma and 6+ years of equivalent security experience OR

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4+ years of equivalent security experience.

  • 2+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.
  • 4+ years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD), and OPSEC principles.
  • 4+ years of experience in working with the Department of Defense (DoD) policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an FSO or AFSO.
  • Proficient with DISS, NISS, NBIS and SIMS.
  • FSO Program Management certification or any other relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience in managing physical security measures, such as access control systems, security alarms, and surveillance equipment.
  • Experience with cybersecurity measures and IT security best practices.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $105,797.00-$175,105.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
