We are excited to announce an opening for a Foundry Product Engineer position in the Foundry Management (FM) group of the External Manufacturing Production (EMP) department. This team supports the Global External Manufacturing (GEMS) organization. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong affinity for external foundry technology engineering, analysis and evaluation.

As a Foundry Product Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting our globally dispersed FM organization. Your role will involve – but not limited to - yield engineering, semiconductor process flow evaluation, sort yield and class-test data analysis, tool-to-tool and factory-to-factory data matching, quality audits, continuous improvement projects in order to improve line yield and device performance, and detailed documentation.

As a Foundry Product Engineer, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Conducting external foundry technology evaluation, transistor device matching, and identifying Si gaps for ramping product to High Volume Manufacturing (through yield data log analysis, understanding test algorithms and relevant circuits, and coordinating cross-functional task force teams on reaching desired yield, product performance, and KPIs).

  • Evaluating manufacturing window and process capability.

  • Working with Foundry suppliers to drive results by tracking actions, managing, resolving excursions, and identifying yield improvement opportunities.

  • Leading taskforces to resolve process-related, product-related, or design-related problems.

  • Handling high volume production material disposition after yield test.

Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field plus 3+ years of work experience in Product Engineering, Process Integration, Device Engineering, or Process Development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science or related field plus 1+ years of work experience in Product Engineering, Process Integration, Device Engineering, or Process Development

  • PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

  • Hands-on experience on advanced semiconductor technology (3nm and beyond) in the area of silicon foundry process, transistor device, and semiconductor yield management.

  • Familiarity with programming skills for script/macro and user interface development (such as Python, VBA, Power BI, web-page UI).

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
