As a Sustainability Program Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Lead the global waste and circular economy program and support the climate program's partnerships, customer engagement and reporting efforts, within the Sustainable Operations Group, to ensure progress and ultimate achievement of the 2030 goals, and further enhance Intel's performance and reputation as a global leader in sustainability.
  • Support the global climate program, along with other members of the team, to ensure progress and ultimate achievement of the 2030 and 2040 climate change related goals, and further enhance Intel's performance and reputation as a global leader in sustainability.
  • Track waste, circular economy and climate-related metrics globally, for all relevant Intel sites.
  • Assess periodic goal performance and report progress to goals (internal and external audience).
  • Lead global waste program including design, construction, factory/operations, new technology evaluation, signage and communications activities; as well as supporting site waste management efforts.
  • Partner with key organizations, such as Supply Chain Responsibility, Assembly Test Technology Development, and Portland Technology Development to develop waste reduction and upcycling strategies.
  • Support the GHG quantification and reporting efforts, including the annual Corporate Responsibility reporting, external audits and customer data requests and communication efforts such as presentations, newsletters, case studies, and fact sheets.
  • Develop and lead a new Global Zero Waste Management Group, bringing together experts and site waste representatives to collaborate on waste initiatives to achieve the zero waste to landfill by 2030 goal.
  • Maintain current documentation of program data, methodologies and calculations related to the waste and climate programs in the Global Carbon Management Plan, Non-hazardous Solid Waste Management Guideline, and in Intel's environmental database (WDesk).
  • Serve as a sustainability subject matter expert in forums such as presentations, policy updates, community advisory groups, and investor/customer/supplier relations.
  • Conduct assessments of innovative sustainability solutions, services and products to further advance the progress to achieve our 2030 and 2040 goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and waste, circular economy, and sustainability trends.

Note: Must be located in the US and work (hybrid) based out of one of our US manufacturing or technology development sites (Oregon, California, New Mexico, Arizona or Ohio) in hybrid model.


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (engineering) in chemical or environmental engineering with at least 6 years of experience working in operations, sustainability, or consulting. Or
  • Bachelor's degree (non-engineering) in environmental science, sustainability or similar with at least 8 years of experience working in operations, sustainability, or consulting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working in the environmental and/or sustainability field, or GHG emissions, chemical or waste related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of sustainability trends, policies, and programs.
  • Understanding of external frameworks such as CDP, GRI and WRI.
  • Understanding and experience working in, or with, operations directly or indirectly as a consultant or government organization.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or other manufacturing setting.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $123,139.00-$203,801.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
