Description

An experienced engineering position in the filed of power electronics at Intel Enterprise Power Solution group's site at DuPont, WA, USA. In this position, you will be responsible for design, validation, troubleshooting and correlation of high frequency switching and linear DC-DC regulators for use on Intel server microprocessor and chipset based motherboards for a specific well known US based customer for Intel. You will be required to own the power delivery solution as part of the customer's server motherboard development and its productization through off-shore manufacturing. Accordingly, you will select appropriate power delivery components such as PWM controllers, drivers, inductors, capacitors, power MOSFETs and other analog and some minor digital components and provide optimized circuit designs to the server motherboard product teams. You will also be required to do some lab testing and validation in addition to delegating such tasks to customer's own validation team. You must be willing and able to travel to customer and its manufacturing sites at USA and Asia.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Electronics and related analog circuits design, and: a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
-3+ years of experience analyzing, designing, troubleshooting and enhancing power electronic circuits during all but specially early phases of product design, meeting the required constraints of space, efficiency, cost and schedule
-3+ years of hands-on experience with electronic equipment including digital oscilloscope, DMM, network analyzer, and electronic loads
-3+ years of experience in preparation of project or business related documentation/slides using standard office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
-3+ years of experience in the use of engineering tools such as Pspice/HSpice, PowerSI/DC, Mathcad and Cadence.
-3+ years of experience in voltage regulator topology, power semiconductor physics, linear and non-linear control and motherboard signal integrity and high speed bus interface

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-A Master of Science degree in power electronics is preferred.
-Proficiency in multitasking and ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams in power delivery design, validation and year to year cost, size and performance improvement.
-Should be able to work with simulation engineers to help create circuit simulation models and analysis of simulation data
