Software Developer

Job Description

Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.

Qualifications

Work in the area of development of Neural Networks accelerators supporting ASR automatic speech recognition. Scope of work for development: library primarily or driver alternatively in the Linux OS, implementing new features.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Very good knowledge of C/C++
  • Very good knowledge of Linux
  • Capability to work with engineering documentation
  • Ability to learn and acquire new knowledge quickly
  • Good self-reliant skills, especially ability to solve complex technical problems quickly
  • Good command of English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in library- or driver development is an advantage
  • SIMD/parallel programming experience
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence will be an asset
  • Some knowledge of the Git source code versioning system
