As the Manager of NPI Product Test Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and deploying Test Technology Roadmap focused on test strategy, technology roadmaps, and implementation/deployment to factories state of the art, high volume, cost effective production testing systems.Key Responsibilities: Immersion in product development teams to understand new product architectures and designsDevelop production level test strategies, hardware/software/automation architecture, test specifications and guard bands, ensure adequate test coverage and DPPM. Drive test methodology, Test program development, characterization, qualification and full validation prior to Release to Production RTPMaintain high level of customer service towards internal and external customersRepresent the NPI functions in high level program reviews and process improvement initiatives in other business areas e.g. NPI, DFX, Product Lifecycle Management, Quality, Document Control, Test Software/Hardware DevelopmentEvaluate new equipment and technologies related to testManage and assist if needed in trouble shoot test related issues on an escalation basisProvide continuous development of testing techniques that will improve in-house capabilitiesProvide technical leadership, career development and mentoring for a team of product and test engineers.Design and implement test tools and infrastructures that will be utilized across multiple test and development teams.Be the voice of manufacturing test in product development teams and NPIBuild a collaborative working relationship with development, program management, and operations. Provide concrete technical feedback to product teams regarding potential technical risks and areas of test that are not being covered.Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications.Drive and manage long term capacity requirement providing technical support in selection and qualification second equipment suppliersStandardize process for full product characterization, qualification as well as production release for high volume rampHelp validate and characterize new products during development phase. M.S./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent field10+ years Test/Product engineering experience in high volume high performance optical transceiver module or system manufacturing with minimum 2 years in engineering management rolesProven track record in building and managing multi-site, multi-ethnic teams while being a technical hands-on leader in a fast-pace environmentDemonstrated success in transferring transceiver/transponders and/or optical subassemblies from NPI environment to high volume productionExcellent written and oral communication skills Excellent analytical and organization skillsHands on experience with electrical and opto-electrical testing methodsWorking knowledge of IEEE, ITU-T, Fiber Channel, Multi-Source Agreement MSA standards, such as QSFP28, QSFP DD, OSFP, etc.Good understanding of data science and machine learning applications in manufacturing Software experience: product lifecycle management e.g. Agile-Oracle, database e.g. SQL, statistical JMP, manufacturing execution systemAbility to travel within China and Southeast AsiaInside this Business Group
