Intel Client Computing Group’s research and development team is seeking software engineers who will be responsible for the design, development and integration of WWAN software on Intel mobile platforms for Windows client devices. Engineers on this team are responsible for software development and system integration of WWAN devices being developed for Intel reference platforms. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, design and development of software for wireless modems, analysis and performance optimizations of key performance indicators of wireless devices, and analysis and resolution of complex systems issues in co-operation with internal and external stakeholders.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.
BS or MS in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in C/C++ Kernel development in Windows or Linux.
Windows Mobile / Windows NT driver development, NDIS networking drivers
In-depth understanding of WDM, KMDF and UMDF driver frameworks
Experience of Windows Mobile Broadband API
Good understanding of GSM/CDMA/3G/LTE Protocol Stack including 3GPP release 10-14 specifications
Knowledge and experience with debugging user- and kernel- mode problems using Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, WinDBG, etc.)
Understanding of operator requirements, operator certification and technical acceptance.Inside this Business Group
