Platform Analysis Student Worker

Job Description
A candidate for a temporary position who is an advanced student working towards a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field from a relevant academic institute. A student employee can do specific work in the area of their future degree or work as a generalist in a specific department. The Studentship is limited in time with the intent to hire into a College Graduate position.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum requirements to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research or relevant previous job and/or professional practice experiences.Minimum requirements:- Must be an advanced student pursuing a Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field- Instrumental use of English language for written and spoken communication Preferred qualifications:- Experience in platform analysis performance or power- Knowledge about hardware simulation- Proficiency in computer architecture - Advanced user level for Linux and Windows operating systems including Bash and PowerShell scripting- Demonstrated programming skills Python, C/C++, Java or CudaAs a Platform Analysis Student Worker, you will be required to:- Understand a set of hardware and software requirements and build a computational environment platform in accordance to the technical specifications- Conduct experiments on the computational platform and collect observed results as per provided guidelines, requirements and specific requests- Analyze collected data and provide results in a summarized format, which shows the most relevant results from the experiments and in accordance to expectations- Make relevant conclusions on experiment results based on observations and analysis and using a working understanding of the hardware & software architectures used on the platform.- Provide technical advice and recommendations on what further changes or experimental measurements to obtain in order to confirm hypothesis, validate or reinforce conclusions or extend investigation in further interest areas associated to the computational platform.
