Job Description

Business Group OverviewThe Silicon Photonics Product Group SPPD is part of Intel's Digital Communication Group DCG. SPPD is leading the company's world-class, industry leading-edge photonic communication development. The mission of SPPD is to deliver breakthrough technologies to fuel Intel's growth. This includes new technologies and opportunities reaching first-to-market technologies and innovative new usages for data transfer technologies.Responsible to perform module level Failure Analysis on Intel Silicon Photonics products and drive for products quality and/or reliability improvement. This includes product testing, analyze to isolate the failing signal, applying circuit analysis to localize the failing circuitry/component. Uses all standard electronic test equipment digital/analog such as oscilloscope, signal generator, IV curve tracer and spectrum analyzer to perform module level failure analysis/debug. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for silicon photonics product electrical failure analysis.
  • Responsible for improving product yield, quality and reliability.
  • Participating in new product electrical failure analysis startup, enabling and improvement on the failure analysis process, tools and methodology, developing new FA techniques.
  • Responsible for debug tool, functional test setup and maintenance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master Degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering, Physics, Optical Science, RF or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years electronics circuit debug/analysis and fault isolation down to component level.
  • A minimum 2 years experiences in photonics/optoelectronics fields and knowledge of photonics component such as lasers, photodiodes and modulator
  • Strong interest in technical work and able investigate the failure independently including replicate failure for root cause analysis.
  • Experiences with PC testing systems, including hardware and software.
  • Knowledge in assembly of photonics devices will be added advantage.
