Responsibilities
 

The ROC technician is responsible for performing functions associated with wafer production operations and process.

The ROC technician is responsible for the effective and simultaneous operation of approx. 56 factory tools.

This includes choosing the appropriate lots to place in queues, monitoring tools for interrupts and correcting/escalating, dispatching equipment resources to address unrecoverable equipment problems, performing complex tasks regarding lot manipulation and monitoring process charts.

This work is conducted in an office environment which requires a high degree of interaction with the factory technicians. In order to be successful in this role the ROC MT will need to have excellent communications skills.

Other responsibilities include:

Ability to plan effectively, prioritise, filter information/data and make real-time business decision.

Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor, maintain and improve process and equipment performance.

Participate in safety forums to ensure a safe working environment.

Person Specification

Excellent verbal and written communication.
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to take personal ownership to maintain an incident and injury free environment.
Excellent teamwork capabilities.
Ability to multi-task successfully in a fast-paced environment requiring high processing speed, pattern recognition and excellent short-term memory.

Commitment to travel on assignment for extended periods
Commitment to work shift or regular work week as required

Qualifications

Required Qualification

Candidates should be Technical Graduates of a qualification at or equivalent to Level 6 / 7 in the National Framework of Qualifications (www.nfq.ie ) in any approved Engineering or Science discipline (which would include - but not exclusively: Information Technology, Web design, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Management, Technology Management, Computer
Science, Quality Management and Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Bioscience, etc.
