FPGA OpenCL Intern

Job Description

As part of Intel, you will have the opportunity to bring machine learning into all industries: from autonomous driving to the cloud. Specifically, we are looking for talented engineers to accelerate Genomics algorithms on spatial processors known as FPGAs. The successful candidate will be writing OpenCL for FPGAs, and developing APIs and software stacks in C and C++, which will link Intel Genomics solution GKL. You require both hardware and software engineering skills, be able to manage complex projects, and be part of a dynamic team working on state-of-the-art technology.


Preferred skillset and education:First or second year student currently pursuing a M.Sc./Ph.D. in an academic field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, and electrical engineeringExperience in C/C++.Willing to work at least 2.5 days a weekHighly motivated, methodical, innovation-oriented and communicative Below skillsets are big plus:OpenCL development experience on FPGA or GPUFPGA/ASIC RTL Verilog design experience Familiar with genomics alignment algorithm like BWA/BWA-MEM
